Dave had to admit. The girl was right.
He clenched his fists tightly and groaned inwardly, as the girl snapped back to give him a glare.
"What is your problem Dave Strider?" She put an edge on the word 'problem' and bit her lip, trying not to cry right then and there. This was the only way they could communicate now? "You left me. I will never forgive you. You left me for THREE FUCKING YEARS. It's like you expected me to welcome you with a smile on my fucking fa-"
"Dave Strider, Ms. [Last Name], detention for talking in class when I had repeatedly told you not to."
"Mr. Vantas, you have to understan-"
"My decision is final. After school, no exceptions."
"Oh fuck."

Twiddling with the pocket watch once again, the girl sighed and clicked it open, to look at the time. 4:15. They would leave in 45 minutes. She could leave and call John and maybe sleepover at his house and forget this stupid fucking thing.
"Yo, [Name]."
The [h/c] girl went rigid in her seat, as the guy she and once loved and the guy who was once her best friend sat down to the right of her, flashing her a smirk.
"Go away."
"Can't really do that, too ironic for it, plus, we're sort of in detention."
"Well I wonder who's fault THAT is," [Name] hissed at him, and stood up, walking to the back of the room and placing her head in arms, as she looked down at the desk.
"This isn't fair, [Name]."
She picked her head up to find Dave standing in front of her, and before she knew it, the tears were coming down her face. The girl shook her head quietly and put it back down again.
"Seriously, just talk to me."
"I can't. I-It's not the same."
"We're, not the same thing we used to be."
Dave's heart broke in two, as he grasped the hands of he girl in front of her.
"Please, [Name]."
Say something I'm giving up on you.
He sighed as he sat next to her desk, leaning on the wall. His own tears were running down his face. Fuck, man, Strider's don't cry.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry, too, Dave."
-----
"I guess this is it, huh?"
"Yeah."
The two stood outside of the school building, and looked up at the sign of 'Skaia High'.
"[Name]..."
"I missed you, Dave. And you left me."
"I know."
"You threw me away."
"I know."
"And after all of that... you want to be friends?" She gave him this look, her face broken and tired looking.
"If it's possible."
"I don't know Dave."
Say something I'm giving up on you.

As [Name] lounged around on the couch in the library, listening to her music, she opened up her Facebook, and scrolled through the feed.

Someone tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned around to see a quite curious Jade Harley standing over her shoulder.
"Someone told me to give this to you, kaythanksbai."
The girl shoved something quickly into her hands.
It was a curious box, and as she opened it, she smiled, knowing exactly who it was from.

[S/c] hands picked up the pocket watch, as small flower engraved in it.
"Thanks, Dave." Her heart beat a little faster, as she clutched it to her chest.
"No fucking problem. Maybe something in return?"
And before she knew it his lips were on hers, and she knew exactly who it was.
"I forgive you."

Dave x Reader -- Why didn't you tell me?
“I swear if I have to tell one more girl that I’m not going to prom, I’m going to fly off the handle,” Dave told you as a very sad looking girl sauntered away from the two of you, “How many times can I say that high school prom is the last place a cool kid like me would ever be caught? Only those stupid cool wannabes would even consider that.”
Really that boy was starting to piss you off. A whole week of subtle and not so subtle hints that you wanted him to ask you to prom and he obliviously says things like that. Or maybe it’s not so oblivious and he’s really trying to tell you th

Dirk x Reader: Always Here to say I Love You
182.
182 times he had whispered those words in your ear before he got too caught up in the music.
182 times he had told you he loved you.
You had always felt lonely and neglected when you were younger, until Dirk came along and made you feel better. You were so happy when he asked you to be his girlfriend, and immediately responded with a 'Yes!'. You two were in a happy, loving relationship for a while after that. The music-lover was quite popular on the internet, with a good amount of fans. All of them knew the happy girl who loved him with all of her heart.
But lately, Dirk had been seeming rather distant. No longer was he there to hold you

“Dirk, you don’t have to do this. You can fight it, I know you can!”
You sobbed, shaky hands gripping the hilt of his katana. Despite the emotion behind them, the words sounded hollow.
Deep down, you knew he couldn't.
Anywhere, I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
Memories flashed through your mind.
Incredibly hot summers, melted ice cream, a botched attempt to ironically and romantically ask you out, and the sloppy makeouts that followed.
Cold winters filled with warmth and laughter, soft caresses and heated kisses.

No, not okay. I do not, in fact, forgive you.
