Human!Aradia x Reader | Hold me instead

It was late at night. Maybe a little too late for your liking, but it was worth staying up if it meant you got to see your girlfriend. She was a night owl, you had found that out when you first met her, but you didn't mind.

Flipping a page in your textbook, you sighed, blinking with your (e/c) eyes and scanning the text.  "I can't fucking do this. It's almost 12 A.M..." You muttered, throwing the textbook down to the ground. "I'll just fail my history final, I don't give a fuck." 

Maybe you were tired, maybe you weren't. Or maybe you just didn't want to spend your time waiting for Aradia studying for your goddamn history final. Your sigh filled the dormitory the two of you shared, as you glanced over to the right, where your alarm clock lay. 

"1:00 A.M... What could she be doing?" Aradia would never be unfaithful... No... Never.

Running a hand through your (h/c) hair locks, you looked over at the stuffed bear in the corner, something Aradia had gotten for you on your birthday. 

It was (f/c).

A (s/c) hand went out to reach for it, as you grabbed it by its arm, smiling at how soft it was. You squished it, to make it look like it was waving.

"Melanie." 

That's what you two had named it when you went to Build-A-Bear. Well, technically, you had built it and named it, but Aradia had contributed to it by wanting to name it Vriska.

And then proceeded to go into great detail how she would throw it on the ground and stomp on it violently.

Being as gentle as you could, you reminded your lover that you still wanted to be able to keep the bear with you after she was done, so you had suggested Melanie. 

With puppy eyes.

To which she agreed.

You smirked, before jumping as the dorm door slammed shut, as your girlfriend came in, smiling softly.

"Hello."

Your eyes went sleepy, as you held out your arms for a hug, to which she walked over and hugged you softly, her hair smelling like perfume that you bought her. 

"The study session went on longer than I has expected. Equius tried to kiss me, but I had to smack him into next week." Her red eyeshadow stood vibrantly out, as you shrugged. Her voice was deadpanned, and emotionless, but you didn't quite mind.

"You're here now, that's all that counts."

Aradia smiles, before pecking you on your dry lips, before noticing the small bear you held.

"You still have that?" A smirk appeared on her face, as she took it out of your hands gently, and placed it on the shelf. 

She flicked the lights off. 

"Aradia, what are you doin-"

"Hold me instead," she said, a soft giggle coming to her lips, as she slid into the bed next to you, and you smiled.

And you grabbed her hand.
